Sure, you can always drop $2000 or $5000 or whatever crazy price you can come up with for a watch, but there are thousands upon thousands of automatics in the $200 range, so a $400 watch from a no-name brand with questionable contents is overpriced. It's a matter of perspective. If you want an Omega or a Rolex, go on and spend the $2000+. At that price I still say there is no better watch. I'm a huge fan of Hamilton's and you can't get into any of their automatic field watches for under ~$300. Currently I've been keeping my eye on this. Not sure why, just find that shade of blue very eye catching. the funny thing is, if i google "Lotus Watches" in germany, it brings me to lotus-watches (dot)com from festina, but shows me just jaguar watches.. i guess, the name difference came from legal issues, because both are name of sportcarbrands. With more than 30 years of history, Festina Group is today an international company specialized in the production and commercialization of commercial price range watches and precision parts. The Group currently owns seven different brands of watches. Calypso, Lotus, Festina, Jaguar, Candino and two luxury brands Perrelet and L.Leroy. It's a nice piece ruined by 22mm lugs IMO. 40MM IS large for a dress watch, but nobody is really making any smaller ones. So the 40mm is excusable, but the 22mm lug width makes it wear larger than other 40mm dress watches. Like someone else said, the Alpha 36mm Datejust is really nice. kZUh5.
